Preparation for ASAE talk on defining requirements

On Tuesday, January 27th, Virginia Anderson, CIO of the Cato Institute, will be discussing the role of requirements gathering in the process of selecting requirements. We are going to be covering requirements not only from a systems standpoint, but from an organizational standpoint. As we conducted our planning, we realized that Cato was far from being ready to implement a system, and instead needed to work on core modeling of its business functions before we would have any chance of success with a new system.
The talk will cover our journey through the organizational requirements process as well as the system-specific areas. The materials we will use are available below.
